Established in 2055 BS (1998 AD), Ashmita Nepal has been working for improving situation of socially marginalized women and children through capacity building, skill transformation, leadership development, and livelihood enhancement. This organization had been operating different programs against all forms of discrimination towards women and children since its establishment.

Establishment of Women led Cooperative in Makwanpur

Establishment of "Community Forest Enterprise Development Cooperative" in Makwanpur. Total 7 members were elected for the executive committee memeber and all the participants of wooden handicraft training are the share holder of the cooperative. Mrs. Narayani Khadka is the chair person of the Community Forest Enterprise Development cooperative, Makwanpur. 
The coopeartive was established to support wooden handicraft enterprise development in Makwanpur and for economic empowerment of women. After completion of 6 months long wooden handicraft training the cooperative will secure the financial mechanism to develop the wooden handicraft enterprise in Makwanpur and act as the outlet to channelize the products to the market. The cooperative will help to establish a wooden handicraft sale center in Makwanpur. Ashmita Nepal will support in registration process of cooperative and for further activities such as business plan, operational plan formation.
